Electrolux Consumer Products, Inc. (Electrolux Group), of Charlotte, North Carolina, is recalling about 174,800 Frigidaire gas ranges in the United States, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). About 5,300 additional units were sold in Canada. The recall was announced March 19, 2026, and assigned recall number 26-333.
The recall covers Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery, and Frigidaire Professional gas ranges in the following models: FCFG3083AS, FCRG3083AD, FCRG3083AS, GCFG3060BD, GCFG3060BF, GCFG3070BF, GCRG3060BD, GCRG3060BF, PCFG3080AF, FCFG3062AB, FCFG3062AS, FCFG3062AW, FCRG3051BB, FCRG3051BS, FCRG3051BW, FCRG3052BB, FCRG3052BS, FCRG3052BW, FCRG3062AB, FCRG3062AS, FCRG3062AW, FCRG306LAF, and GCFG3059BF. The affected ranges fall within the serial number range VF52200000 through VF54399999. The model and serial numbers are printed on a nameplate located in the drawer beneath the oven.
The ranges were sold at Lowe's, The Home Depot, and other retailers nationwide and online at Frigidaire.com from June 2025 through January 2026 for between $630 and $2,700.
According to the CPSC recall notice, the ovens in the recalled ranges can experience a delayed ignition of the oven's bake burner, posing a risk of burns to users. A delayed ignition can allow gas to build up before the burner lights, producing a sudden flare when it finally ignites.
Electrolux Group and the CPSC received 62 reports of delayed ignition of the oven bake burner, including 30 reports of burn injuries. Because of that risk, the CPSC advises consumers to stop using the oven immediately until the free bake burner replacement is installed. The cooktop burners on the range can continue to be used.
You are covered by the recall if you own a Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery, or Frigidaire Professional gas range with one of the recalled model numbers and a serial number in the range VF52200000 through VF54399999. To confirm, check the nameplate in the drawer beneath the oven and enter your model and serial number on the official recall site. The ranges were sold for a relatively short window — June 2025 through January 2026 — so households that bought a new Frigidaire gas range in that period are the most likely to be affected.
Electrolux Group is handling the recall through the official Gas Oven Burner Recall site. There is no cost to participate:
• Stop using the oven in the recalled range immediately (you can keep using the cooktop burners)
• Go to the official Gas Oven Burner Recall site and enter your 10-digit model number and 10-digit serial number to confirm your range is affected
• Order a free replacement oven bake burner and schedule professional in-home installation at no charge
• An Electrolux Group service technician installs the new bake burner for you
No receipt or proof of purchase is required — eligibility is confirmed with your range's model and serial number, both of which appear on the nameplate in the drawer beneath the oven.
This gas range action is separate from the ongoing Frigidaire-brand minifridge recall (Model EFMIS121), which involves a fire and burn hazard and a different remedy. The two recalls cover different products and different companies, so check each notice against the specific appliance you own.
Recalls involving widely sold appliances sometimes draw class action investigations, and reports of a proposed class action have surfaced in connection with the recalled Frigidaire gas ranges. As of this writing, OpenClassActions.com had not independently confirmed a filed complaint, case number, or court. If a class action is confirmed — for example, on behalf of owners seeking refunds or other relief — this page will be updated. For now, the recall remedy (a free in-home bake burner replacement) is the official path for affected consumers.
