If you own a first-generation SNOOZ Breez 2-in-1 fan and white-noise machine, unplug it now and check the serial number on the underside of the base — SNOOZ is sending a free replacement to owners of the recalled units.
SNOOZ, Inc. is recalling about 11,900 Breez 2-in-1 Smart Bedroom Fan and White Noise Machines. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall (number 26-388) on April 9, 2026. The recalled fans were sold online at Amazon, Shopify, Kickstarter, and other small retailers from June 2023 through December 2025 for about $200.
The Breez is a combination bedroom fan and white-noise machine, sold in white with a beige stand. The recall covers the first-generation model, which has a removable barrel power jack and a serial number on the underside of the wooden base that begins with BZ10, BZ02, or KTCD. Breez 2nd Generation sound machines are not part of this recall.

Six reports of overheating and smoking, including one fire; no injuries reported
Documentation Required
Yes
A photo of the cut power cord and a photo of the power adapter showing the model number, uploaded during the online recall registration (no sales receipt)
The power connector inside the recalled fan can corrode. When that happens, the fan can overheat, posing a fire hazard. SNOOZ has received six reports of the fans overheating and smoking, including one report of fire. No injuries have been reported.
In each reported incident, the consumer was located near the ocean. When SNOOZ inspected the returned units, it observed rust and corrosion, suggesting that exposure to ocean air may worsen the damage to the power connector. Because of the fire risk, consumers should unplug and stop using the recalled fans immediately rather than waiting until they are ready to request a replacement.
You are affected if you bought a first-generation SNOOZ Breez 2-in-1 fan and white-noise machine online — through Amazon, Shopify, Kickstarter, or another small retailer — between June 2023 and December 2025. To confirm whether your fan is included, check the serial number on the underside of the wooden base; the recall covers serial numbers that begin with BZ10, BZ02, or KTCD.
If your fan is part of the recall, unplug it and stop using it now. Do not continue using the fan while you wait for the replacement process to be completed.
The remedy is a free replacement fan, requested through an online recall registration on the official SNOOZ recall page. As part of the registration, you will be asked to cut the power cord and upload a photo of the cut cord along with a photo of the power adapter showing the model number and printed information. Cutting the cord makes the recalled fan unusable so it cannot be used again before the replacement arrives.
No sales receipt is required, but the photos of the cut cord and the adapter are needed to complete the registration. SNOOZ sends the free replacement fan after it verifies your registration. The official recall page is the place to register and to check the status of your replacement.
