West Virginia alleged that Pfizer- and Ranbaxy-related companies delayed lower-cost generic competition for Lipitor, causing consumers and public entities to pay more. The settling companies did not admit liability.
The consumer process covered people who bought branded Lipitor in West Virginia and paid some or all of the cost, including a copay or other out-of-pocket amount, from March 24, 2010 through November 30, 2011.
New claims are not accepted. Former claimants should rely on the official consumer site for claim-processing or payment updates.
