If you paid rent for an apartment owned or managed by certain large apartment companies between October 18, 2018 and November 21, 2025, you may be entitled to money from $141.8 million in proposed settlements in the RealPage Rental Software Antitrust litigation.

The claims process has not yet begun. You can register for updates on the official settlement website so you can be notified when notice begins and when claim forms become available.

You do not need to pay another attorney, company, or individual to file a claim for you once the claims process opens.

What is the RealPage Rental Software Antitrust Settlement About?

This class action involves allegations that RealPage’s revenue management software, used by certain apartment owners and property managers, allowed rent pricing and lease renewal decisions to be influenced by shared nonpublic data in a way that harmed competition and increased rents.

Defendants deny wrongdoing. The Court has not decided who is right. The parties agreed to settlements to avoid the cost and uncertainty of continued litigation, and the settlements still require final Court approval.

What is the Total Settlement Amount?

The proposed settlements provide $141,800,000 in monetary relief across multiple settling apartment owners and property managers. The settlement funds may be used for notice and administration costs, attorneys’ fees and expenses (if approved), service awards (if approved), and payments to eligible Settlement Class Members under a Court-approved plan of allocation.

How Do I Qualify For a Payout?

You may qualify if you are a person or entity in the United States or its territories who paid rent on at least one multifamily residential lease directly to an owner or property manager participating in RealPage’s revenue management solutions during the class period.

In plain terms, if you rented an apartment and your landlord or property manager is on the settlement company list, and you paid rent during the covered timeframe, you may be included.

Certain people and entities are excluded, including Defendants and related parties, governmental entities, and other exclusions described in the settlement materials.

How Much Can I Get Paid?

The settlement website does not list a fixed amount per renter. Any payment amount will depend on the Court-approved plan for dividing the settlement funds and the number of valid claims submitted and approved once claims open.
