What Was the E-Prescription Antitrust Case About?
Pharmacy plaintiffs alleged that Surescripts, Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, and previously settled RelayHealth entered into a contract, combination, or conspiracy that restrained competition in electronic prescription routing. According to the lawsuit, the conduct suppressed competing networks and allowed supracompetitive routing prices. The claims invoked federal and state antitrust law. Surescripts and Allscripts denied the allegations, moved for summary judgment, and maintained that they had defenses. The later notice allowed those prior claimants to submit additional information for April 20, 2021 through July 18, 2025.
