The official website for the $32 million GoodRx privacy settlement was switched on early in October
2026 so the administrator could test it, and it was never open for real claims. That is the
explanation the claims administrator gave in an email reply to a class member who reported an
“Error 403” message when trying to reach the claim form. The reply, which OpenClassActions.com
reviewed, says claim filing will not begin until notices go out, which the administrator expected
to happen during the week of October 19, 2026.
The administrator also said that every claim submitted during the testing phase was not timely and
has been rejected. People who filed during that window have to submit a new claim once notice has
gone out and claim filing is officially open.
The settlement itself is real and unchanged. U.S. District Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín of the
Northern District of California preliminarily approved it on September 8, 2026, in Doe, et al. v.
GoodRx Holdings, Inc., et al., No. 4:23-cv-00501-AMO. Her order requires notice to the class to
begin no later than October 30, 2026, and keeps the claim deadline at December 29, 2026.

U.S. GoodRx users before April 20, 2024 · GoodRx settlement page
The site’s problems came in three stages. On October 14, 2026, goodrxprivacysettlement.com was
online with a working File a Claim button, an FAQ and a court documents page, and its online claim
form could be opened, filled out and submitted, and some class members filed claims through it.
According to the administrator, the claim period had not started: the site had been activated only
to complete testing.
By October 18, 2026, every page on the site returned “Error 403 – This web app is stopped,” a
message generated by the cloud service that hosts the site when the site has been switched off. As
of October 21, 2026, the address loads a different page titled “Site Maintenance,” which says the
GoodRx Holdings Privacy Settlement claim site is temporarily down for maintenance and asks visitors
to check back shortly. No explanation for the outage has been filed on the court docket.
None of this points to a fake settlement. It reflects an administrator testing a site before the
court-ordered launch. OCA’s explainer,
Is the GoodRx settlement legit?,
walks through the court record that confirms the case and the official web address.
Claim filing opens when notice goes out. The administrator’s email put that at the week of October
19, 2026. The court’s preliminary approval order sets a hard outer limit: notice to the class has to
begin no later than October 30, 2026, the order’s “Notice Date,” and the official settlement website
has to be up by that same date. Barring a change ordered by the court, the GoodRx claim form will be
officially open no later than October 30, 2026.
Notice goes out mainly by email, using the contact information GoodRx already has for its users.
The settlement class is not limited to people who get an email: it covers every natural person in
the United States who used any GoodRx website, app or service, including GoodRx Gold, HeyDoctor and
GoodRx Care, before April 20, 2024. OCA will update its
GoodRx settlement page
with the claim link on the day filing opens.
A claim counts only if it is filed during the claim period the court set, which runs from the
Notice Date through December 29, 2026. A form submitted on a site that was still being tested was
filed before that period began, so the administrator treats it as untimely. That holds even if the
site showed a confirmation screen after the form was sent. According to the administrator’s reply,
those claims have already been rejected, and the people who filed them need to file again once the
claim period has begun.
The settlement allows one claim per class member. Because the administrator has rejected the
testing-phase claims, a claim filed after the official opening is the one that counts.
Some class members have come across a web address ending in “azurewebsites.net,”
goodrxprivacysettlement-web-staging.azurewebsites.net. It is a staging, or test, server, not the
official settlement website, and OpenClassActions.com does not link to it. As of October 21, 2026,
it returns an access-denied error. The only website named in the court’s order is
www.goodrxprivacysettlement.com, and a claim filed anywhere else is not a claim in this settlement.
Look-alike addresses are a common route for settlement scams. OCA’s report on
fake settlement websites and misspelled links
explains how they work.
Everything the court set on September 8, 2026 still stands. GoodRx Holdings, Inc. and the
ad-technology company Criteo Corp. are paying $32,000,000 into a non-reversionary fund, and the net
fund, after fees, costs and service awards, is split equally among valid claims. The deadline to
file a claim, to mail a request to be excluded and to file an objection is December 29, 2026.
Class Counsel’s motions for final approval and attorneys’ fees are due November 24, 2026, and the
final approval hearing is set for February 11, 2027, at 11:00 a.m. in Oakland.
The plaintiffs allege that GoodRx shared users’ health and prescription information with
advertising companies, including Criteo, Meta and Google, through tracking code on its website and
apps. GoodRx and Criteo deny the allegations and deny violating any law, and the settlement is not
an admission of wrongdoing. The claims against Meta and Google are not part of this settlement and
continue in the same case.
When does the GoodRx settlement claim form open?
Claim filing opens when the court-approved notice goes out to class members. The claims administrator has said notice is expected the week of October 19, 2026, and the court’s preliminary approval order requires notice to begin no later than October 30, 2026. Until then, the claim form is not officially open.
Why is the GoodRx settlement website down?
According to the claims administrator, the website was switched on early to complete testing and was not open for claims. Since then it has shown a hosting error (an “Error 403” message on October 18, 2026) and, as of October 21, 2026, a page saying the claim site is temporarily down for maintenance. The site is expected back when notice goes out.
Does a GoodRx claim filed before the official opening count?
No. The claims administrator has said that any claim submitted during the testing phase was not timely and has been rejected, and that those claimants have to submit a new claim once notice has gone out and claim filing is officially open. A confirmation screen shown during testing does not make the claim valid.
Is goodrxprivacysettlement-web-staging.azurewebsites.net the official GoodRx settlement site?
No. That address is a staging, or test, server, not the official settlement website. The court’s preliminary approval order names www.goodrxprivacysettlement.com as the official site, and claims count only when they are filed there, or by mail, after claim filing opens.
Has the GoodRx settlement claim deadline changed?
No. The court-ordered deadline to file a claim, mail a request to be excluded, or file an objection is still December 29, 2026. No change to the schedule has been posted on the court docket as of October 21, 2026.
How will GoodRx users be notified about the settlement?
Under the court-approved notice plan, the administrator, A.B. Data, sends notice mainly by email to class members using contact information GoodRx already has. A genuine notice points to goodrxprivacysettlement.com and names the case, Doe v. GoodRx Holdings, Inc., No. 4:23-cv-00501-AMO. The class covers people who used GoodRx in the U.S. before April 20, 2024, whether or not they receive an email.
Will the GoodRx claim form require proof?
The version of the online claim form posted during testing asked for name, contact details, a payment choice, an attestation of U.S. residence and GoodRx use before April 20, 2024, and an electronic signature, with no receipts or notice code. The final requirements can only be confirmed once the form officially opens.
How much will the GoodRx settlement pay each person?
No per-person amount has been announced. GoodRx and Criteo are paying $32 million into a non-reversionary fund, and after fees, costs and service awards, the net fund is split equally among valid claims. The amount depends on how many people file.
When will GoodRx settlement payments be sent?
Not before final approval. The final approval hearing is set for February 11, 2027, and payments go out within 45 days after the settlement’s Effective Date, which comes only after final approval and the end of any appeals. No payment date has been announced.
