If you bought a light-up toy headband or a small electronic pet-cage toy at a TOYZ or Joissu Product store, check it now — the button-cell battery can be accessed by a child, and ABC Trading is offering a full refund.
The recall covers a light-up toy headband (model 6300RP, a pink bow with white polka dots and a push button on top) and two electronic pet-cage toys — a dinosaur cage (model 8266 / ZH998-22, a silver cage with a blue bottom holding a red dinosaur and yellow egg) and a bird cage (model ZH998-23, a cage with a pink top and bottom holding a blue bird). About 84,700 were sold at TOYZ and Joissu Product stores nationwide from November 2022 through October 2025 for between $5 and $9.
The toys contain button-cell (coin) batteries in compartments that children can easily access, which violates the federal mandatory standard for toys. If a button-cell or coin battery is swallowed, it can cause serious internal chemical burns and death. No injuries had been reported at the time of the recall.
Stop using the toy immediately and keep it away from children. According to the recall, consumers take a photo of the disposed toy in the trash and submit it to ABC Trading to receive a full refund of the retail price. Use the official CPSC recall page for the exact submission and contact details rather than any third-party website.
A sales receipt is not required per the recall notice. The documentation the remedy depends on is a photo showing the recalled toy disposed of in the trash, which you submit to receive the full refund.
No deadline has been announced. CPSC recalls generally remain open, but because a swallowed button-cell battery can cause serious injury or death, consumers should stop using the toys immediately and submit for the refund as soon as possible.
