The Court granted final approval of the PetSafe e-collar class action settlement at the Final Approval Hearing on January 26, 2026. In the same order, the Court approved class counsel's attorneys' fees of $475,000, litigation costs of $376,792.28, and a $10,000 service award for the named plaintiff Steven Hernandez.With final approval granted, the settlement entered the standard post-approval appeal window. The settlement administrator can only begin distributing payments after the appeal period closes and any appeals are resolved. If no appeals are filed, payments are typically issued within 30 to 90 days of the order becoming final. Claimants who submitted a valid claim form by the December 29, 2025 deadline and chose to be paid by physical check should watch their mailboxes in the coming weeks; claimants who elected an electronic option (if available) will receive their payment through that channel.
