What Is This Settlement About?

Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC and Thriveworks, Inc. — the companies behind the Thriveworks network of in-person and online therapy and psychiatry practices — have agreed to a $1.9 million class action settlement resolving claims that their website shared patients' sensitive information with third parties.

The lawsuit, Mosher, et al. v. Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC, et al., alleges that tracking technologies on www.thriveworks.com disclosed sensitive information and private communications from the patient portal to Google and LinkedIn without patient consent, in violation of state and federal law. Because Thriveworks is a mental health care provider, the suit contends the information transmitted through the portal was especially sensitive.

Thriveworks denies any wrongdoing, and the court has not decided who is right. The parties agreed to settle to avoid the expense, delay, and uncertainty of continued litigation. The court granted preliminary approval of the settlement on April 22, 2026.

Beyond the cash fund, the settlement also requires Thriveworks to review the software enabled on its website to confirm it is programmed to prevent the collection of patient medical information without consent.

This case follows a wave of similar patient-portal tracking settlements, including the Duke Health MyChart privacy settlement and the Lemonaid Health pixel tracking settlement.

Who Qualifies?

You are included in the settlement class if you used the patient portal on www.thriveworks.com at any time from April 25, 2023 through September 5, 2025.

Class members were identified from Thriveworks records, and the Settlement Administrator sent each identified patient a notice — by mail or email — containing a unique Login ID and PIN. If you received that notice, you are on the class list. If you believe you used the portal during the class period but did not receive a notice, use the contact page on the official settlement website to ask the administrator about your eligibility.

How Much Can You Get?

Class members who submit a valid, timely claim form may receive a cash payment of up to $10. Payments come from the $1.9 million settlement fund after court-approved attorneys' fees, litigation costs, service awards, and notice and administration expenses are deducted, and the final amount may adjust up or down depending on how many valid claims are filed.

That payout range is typical for broad website-tracking privacy settlements — similar to the per-claimant amounts in other health-sector pixel cases like the Duly Health tracking pixel settlement.

How to File a Claim

Claims can be filed online at the official settlement website or by mailing a paper claim form. To file online, you will need the Login ID and PIN printed on the settlement notice you received by mail or email. The deadline to submit a claim — online or postmarked — is July 21, 2026.

If you lost your notice or cannot locate your Login ID and PIN, use the contact page on the official settlement website, Thriveworks Privacy Settlement.com, to reach the Settlement Administrator.

Key Deadlines

If you do nothing, you will remain in the class, receive no payment, and give up the right to sue Thriveworks over the claims covered by the settlement. Payments are issued only after the settlement receives final approval and any appeals are resolved.
