What Closes October 30

Friday, October 30, 2026 is the claim deadline for eight class action settlements that OpenClassActions.com tracks. Four are open to consumers: Bestway above-ground pool owners, people with a bankruptcy remark on a TransUnion credit report, LiveHealth Online users and New York City retirees in the GHI Senior Care plan. The other four cover investors, businesses, insurance policyholders and a flood at a storage site in British Columbia.

Each settlement resolves claims without a court finding that the company did anything wrong. Where the descriptions below mention defects, inaccurate reporting, tracking or price-fixing, those are the claims the plaintiffs brought, not findings against the companies.

The 8 Settlements, at a Glance

Consumer Settlements

Bestway Above-Ground Pools — $40 Without a Receipt

The $15 million Bestway settlement covers Bestway-branded above-ground pools, including Power Steel, Steel Pro and Coleman Power Steel models, that are 48 inches or taller with compression straps running outside the support legs and were sold from 2008 through 2024. Pools of that design were part of a Consumer Product Safety Commission recall because the outside strap can give a small child a foothold to climb in. Each household can claim $40 without a receipt or Claim ID, or 10% of the price paid with valid proof of purchase; amounts may be adjusted pro rata. The claim form asks for the pool's brand, dimensions and model or serial number. Online claims close at 11:59:59 p.m. Central Time through the official Bestway pool settlement website. Full details are on the OpenClassActions.com Bestway page.

TransUnion Bankruptcy Remark Settlement — Up to About $1,000

The $8.31 million TransUnion settlement covers people whose TransUnion credit report carried a bankruptcy remark from January 6, 2020 to January 31, 2023. The lawsuit alleged the remarks appeared for some consumers with no bankruptcy on record. Members of the No Bankruptcy Group receive $100 automatically, and a claim raises the estimate to about $1,000; members of the Aged Bankruptcy Group get an estimated $350 only if they file. Filing takes the Claim Number and PIN from the notice plus a sworn certification, and October 30 is also the exclusion and objection deadline. Claims go through the official TransUnion settlement website; see the OpenClassActions.com TransUnion page for the group definitions.

LiveHealth Online Privacy Settlement — Est. $51 to $102

Amwell's $2,037,751.46 settlement covers people in the U.S. who used the LiveHealth Online appointment booking tool on the website or the iOS or Android app between October 2024 and August 2025. The lawsuit alleged that tracking and analytics tools on the service passed users' medical information to third parties without permission. Each valid claim receives an equal pro rata share, estimated at $51.14 to $102.29, paid by check, PayPal or Venmo. Filing online takes the LoginID and PIN from the notice, and a paper form postmarked by October 30 is also accepted. Claims go through the official LiveHealth Online settlement website; details are on the OpenClassActions.com LiveHealth Online page.

EmblemHealth & NYC Senior Care Co-Pays — Up to 100% Back

The settlement with the City of New York and EmblemHealth, capped at $53 million, covers Medicare-eligible New York City retirees and their Medicare-eligible dependents enrolled in the GHI Senior Care plan between January 1, 2022 and January 31, 2023. The plaintiffs alleged the $15 medical co-pays charged during that period violated the contract between the City and EmblemHealth. Documented co-pays are reimbursed up to the full amount; undocumented co-pays up to 40%, capped at $100. Only class members who received a customized Claim Form in the mail can file, using the Claimant ID from that form and their GHI Senior Care member ID. Claims go through the official Senior Care co-pay settlement website; see the OpenClassActions.com EmblemHealth page.

Investor, Business and Policyholder Settlements

WM Technology (Weedmaps) Securities Settlement — $7.5 Million

The settlement covers investors who bought WM Technology common stock or warrants, or Silver Spike Acquisition Corp. securities, between May 25, 2021 and September 24, 2024. The complaint alleged WM Technology misstated the growth of active users on Weedmaps. The estimated average recovery is about $0.072 per security before fees, and brokerage confirmations or statements are required for each trade. Online claims close at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the official WM Technology settlement page; see the OpenClassActions.com WM Technology page.

Turkey Price-Fixing Settlements — $93.575 Million for Businesses

Six settlements totaling $93,575,000 cover U.S. businesses that bought fresh or frozen, uncooked turkey breast, ground turkey or whole birds directly from the processors between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2016. The plaintiffs alleged the processors conspired to raise turkey prices. This round requires a new claim form even from companies that filed in the earlier Cargill and Tyson round, and online filing uses the Unique ID and PIN from the notice. Claims go through the official turkey litigation website; see the OpenClassActions.com turkey page.

Lloyd's of London Syndicates — $3.57 Million

Five Lloyd's syndicates agreed to a $3.57 million partial settlement of claims that they took part in a scheme to conceal a lack of competition in the Lloyd's market. The class covers anyone in the U.S. who bought or renewed a policy from the settling syndicates from 1997 through April 15, 2025. Payments are a pro rata share scaled to the premium paid, and nothing is paid where a claimant's initial share is under $10. Each policy needs its issuing syndicate, policy number, face amount, annual premium and coverage dates. Claims go through the official syndicate settlement website; see the OpenClassActions.com Lloyd's page.

Canada — Received, Not Postmarked

BigSteelBox Abbotsford Flood Settlement — $1 Million CAD

The settlement covers people and businesses whose property was damaged by flood water while stored in a BigSteelBox container at the company's Abbotsford, British Columbia facility between November 14 and December 17, 2021. BigSteelBox denies liability. Payments are a share of the $1 million CAD fund based on the depreciated value of what was lost, and claims need government photo ID and a Schedule of Loss. The administrator, MNP Ltd., must receive the claim by 5:00 p.m. Pacific time; see the official MNP settlement page and the OpenClassActions.com BigSteelBox page.

How the October 30 Deadline Works

The date is the same for all eight, but the cutoff is not. Bestway online claims close at 11:59:59 p.m. Central Time and WM Technology online claims at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. TransUnion, LiveHealth Online, WM Technology and Bestway accept mailed forms postmarked October 30, and the turkey notice accepts claims postmarked or received that day. The EmblemHealth, LiveHealth Online and Lloyd's notices give the date with no time zone. BigSteelBox is the strictest: the claim has to be in the administrator's hands by 5:00 p.m. Pacific time.

Questions

What time do the October 30, 2026 claim deadlines end?

It depends on the settlement. Bestway online claims close at 11:59:59 p.m. Central Time and WM Technology online claims at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. BigSteelBox claims must be received by the administrator by 5:00 p.m. Pacific time. The EmblemHealth, LiveHealth Online and Lloyd's notices give the date without a time zone. Mailed claims in the U.S. settlements generally need an October 30 postmark.

Which October 30 settlement requires the least paperwork?

The Bestway above-ground pool settlement pays $40 without a receipt or a Claim ID, though the claim form asks for the pool's brand, dimensions and model or serial number. The amount may be reduced pro rata. Most of the other seven require an ID and PIN from a mailed notice or documents such as brokerage or policy records.

Does everyone in the TransUnion settlement have to file a claim?

Members of the No Bankruptcy Group receive $100 automatically, and filing a claim by October 30 raises the estimated payment to about $1,000. Members of the Aged Bankruptcy Group receive nothing unless they file; their estimated payment is about $350. Filing requires the Claim Number and PIN from the notice and a sworn certification.

Are any October 30 claims accepted after the deadline?

Each settlement notice sets October 30, 2026 as the last day to file, and claims submitted or postmarked after it are treated as late. Courts and administrators sometimes accept late claims at their discretion, but no extension had been announced for any of these eight as of October 29, 2026.
