What Is Being Recalled?

Arlopu recalled about 10,318 slide playsets on November 5, 2026, in a recall announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The CPSC says the plastic playsets have several openings where a child’s torso can fit through but the head cannot, posing a risk of serious injury or death from head and neck entrapment. On model KT-CS17, the basketball net can also come unhooked from the rim and form a loop large enough for a child’s head, posing entanglement and strangulation hazards.

Arlopu has received one report of an entrapment incident, which left abrasions on a child’s neck. The remedy is a free repair kit.

Which Playsets Are Included?

The recall covers Arlopu slide playsets with model numbers KT-CS17 and LY-31. The plastic playsets are built for indoor or outdoor use and combine a slide, a basketball hoop and other activity pieces. They came in tan, red, blue, yellow, gray and green. On KT-CS17 the model number is on a label under the elevated platform; on LY-31 it is on a label on the upper back panel behind the slide.

The playsets were sold online at Amazon.com and Walmart.com from April 2023 through August 2026 for between $90 and $130. They were made in China.

How Does the Repair Work?

The CPSC says owners should stop using the playsets immediately and store them away from children. To get the kit, the owner emails Arlopu a photo of the playset showing the model number, at the address in the CPSC recall notice. Arlopu then mails the repair kit, which includes redesigned panels, basketball hoops and installation instructions. Once the repair is done, owners write “RECALLED” in permanent marker on the removed parts and throw them away. The notice does not set an end date for the remedy.
