The recalled pillows are C-shaped, model NP001, and came in three prints: white with a leaves pattern, dark brown with a multicolored feather pattern, and a multicolored puzzle-piece pattern. The CPSC says the pillows carry no markings or labels, so the Amazon order history is the most direct way to confirm a purchase.
The CPSC says buyers contact Kikea Store by email, using the address listed in the CPSC recall notice. After the seller confirms the pillow is a recalled one, the buyer cuts it in half, sends a photo of the destroyed pillow and then disposes of it.
The CPSC says the pillows violate the mandatory federal safety standard for nursing pillows because they can obstruct an infant’s breathing, posing a serious risk of injury or death from suffocation. No incidents or injuries have been reported.
