internal wire heating elements can overheat, creating fire and burn hazards. The CPSC notice
counts 577 reports of the products smoking, melting or burning, including 53 burn injuries.
The remedy is a full refund.
The blankets and pads were sold only on Amazon.com, from September 2022 through July 2026,
singly or in two-packs. The importer is Jiande Pengshuai Trading Co., Ltd., of China.

Five model numbers are covered: JKMAX-002, JKMAX-7284B, JKMAX-6284B, JKMAX-10090B and
JKMAX-8490B. The model number is on the product care label. The recalled
products came in blue, gray, brown or red polyester, each with a plug-in controller.
The CPSC notice tells owners to stop using the blankets and pads immediately and contact JKMAX
for a full refund. The official JKMAX recall page sets out the steps:
- Unplug it and stop using it.
- Cut the entire power cord completely, so the product cannot be used again.
- Write “Recalled” and your last name on the controller with a permanent marker.
- Send JKMAX the Amazon order number, the price paid, and clear photos of the blanket or pad, the controller, the controller plug, the care label showing the model number, and the cut cord.
- Ship the blanket, controller, plug and cord back on the prepaid label JKMAX sends.
According to the recall page, JKMAX replies within about two weeks with the return label, and
the refund of the price paid goes to the original payment method once the product arrives.

closing date has been announced.
The Amazon order number is the practical proof of purchase here. It sits in the Amazon
account’s order history, which reaches back to 2022 for the earliest buyers.
